The Consolation of Maps has been shortlisted for the 2019 RSL Christopher Bland Prize
Thomas Bourke has been shortlisted for the inaugural Royal Society of Literature Christopher Bland Prize for The Consolation of Maps (Riverrun).

The £10,000 Prize is to encourage and celebrate debut novelists or popular non-fiction writers who publish their first book at the age of 50 or over.
The winner will be announced on 29 May.
