Louise Cox Chester is the founding director of Mindfulness at Work. She started practicing Mindfulness in 1994 when she was a Director at UBS Ltd and found it helped her achieve balance in her life, while sustaining a pressured career in investment analysis and fund management, ultimately as Head of Research and then Global Head of Telecoms and Media for Dresdner RCM. Louise left the City in 2001 to establish a consultancy practice offering financial and strategic advice to business leaders both in the workplace and at Witherdens Hall, her award-winning, retreat in Kent.
In 2010, she founded Mindfulness at Work Ltd., to offer employees highly-effective Mindfulness training, to enable them to create value and thrive not just in the workplace, but in all areas of their life. Driven by her years in finance, her goal was for Mindfulness at Work to help whole organisations to become systemically more mindful, so they can function in an economically sustainable way for the long-term benefit of all stakeholders. Mindfulness at Work’s global team has taken its award-winning corporate mindfulness training and coaching to over 10,000 employees from C-Suite to shop floor in the last year alone.
She is writing a book with Carolyn Taylor called The Mindful Organisation.
