The Rt Hon Jim Murphy is a former Cabinet Minister in the UK Government who has held multiple Ministerial portfolios and was a Member of Parliament from 1997-2015. He served in both Tony Blair’s and Gordon Brown’s governments in senior roles. He has chaired a myriad of public and government bodies. He is a recognised problem solver with exceptional communication skills, possesses a range of contacts across the political and public policy arena and is also a member of Her Majesty’s Privy Council.
Jim is a marathon runner, keen footballer and mediocre golfer. He is also author of the well received book The ten football matches that changed the world and the one that didn’t (2014). He splits his working life between London and Glasgow.
