David Hargreaves taught History at Westminster School for almost thirty years, where he was Head of the Sixth Form and Housemaster of Grant’s, the oldest boarding house in the country. In July 2014, he left to set up his own small education consultancy DHC London.
His writing includes Bismarck and German Unification (Macmillan 1991) and an assortment of Op Ed pieces, published mainly in the Telegraph and the Spectator. Since August 2014 he has written a weekly essay on The First World War, published in The Browser. He lives in Islington, North London.
He has prepared an anthology of letters written during his time as a Housemaster at Westminster – Dear Parents – and is now in the final stages of finishing a novel, You First.
